2023 SEASON INFORMATION

• May 1st - July 15th.  REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN (levels will start to close as they fill up- first sign up basis.)
• TBD (Early August) - Gear handout (all forms required to be submitted to get gear)
• August 7th- 10th - Football Camp at WHS (separate registration- will send out info when available. - Counts toward mandatory conditioning hours and very important to attend - 100% participation for last 6 years.)

• August 19th - date and location TBD

• August 14th-18th - First official day of practice (For Tackle Football Practice will be 5 days a week until school starts, then 3 days a week for the rest of the season.)
• August 29th- Jamboree for all levels (Tackle Only)
• TBD - Youth Football Night (@WHS Football game)
• September 9th- First Game- (games every Saturday after)
• Future dates TBD

*****3rd and 4th grade football is currently offered, league wide, as a program called Rookie tackle (more information available on USA Football's website)- this is a modified version of tackle football that represents a hybrid of both tackle and flag football and has been a huge success for players unsure about or new to football. 

****It is critical that your player does not miss any practices or camp in the first 3-4 weeks of the season (including camp). Each player must have 10 hours of documented conditioning (with the team) and 8 hours of practice in pads before they can participate in a game (Example- Jamboree). If you player does not meet the hours requirements they cannot play in the jamboree, DON'T WORRY- they will be totally fine for the rest of the season once they have completed all of their hours.

PROGRAM COSTS

Your registration fee covers all necessary uniforms, equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, pants), field space. You will only need to provide cleats and a mouth guard. The football annual camp is an additional cost, this program is run by the Wilsonville High School Football Program. You will be mailed a flyer, from the high school team, please complete and return the registration for camp as soon as possible. Last season we had 100% participation in football camp. Camp is a great way to get the season started and is also a fundraiser to help the High School football team financially. The Camp is where your player will get their first 8 hours of mandatory conditioning hours.

ARE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE?

If you are requesting a scholarship, you must submit application for such by June 15th. You will need to recieve a scholarship discount code (to apply at checkout) before you can complete registration of the player. Wilsonville Youth Sports will review those applications and respond with your specific registration/payment (if needed) instructions. Please see scholarship guidelines and instructions below. AFTER I HAVE REGISTERED.  WHAT'S NEXT?

Once your registration has processed, you will receive a confirmation email.  Follow these next steps:

• During your registration- Download and print the  OSAA Approved Medical Release form. Have this form completed by your physician and turn in at gear hand out. 
• WYS Player-Parent Agreement will be e-mailed to you or completed at gear hand out. 
• These forms must be completed (and the medical release signed by a physician) and brought to gear pick-up in mid- July.
• Tackle football kiddos  will receive a Football Camp registration flyer in the mail. Please complete the form and return it as soon as possible. Football Camp has an additional Cost (usually $75.00)- this cost is set and collected by Wilsonville High School Football. 

If you do not receive the confirmation email, you may need to check your spam or junk mail folder.

COACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Wilsonville Youth Football is a 100% volunteer-based organization. Please volunteer and get involved by contacting the Director of Football or your head coach. There are volunteer positions at the Wilsonville Youth Sports level, Wilsonville Youth Football level, and at the team level.

The Tualatin Valley football league is a tackle based football program for 3rd through 8th grade youth in the Tualatin Valley and Portland metropolitan area in Oregon. With over 50 associations, the program now boasts over 6,500 players and 500+ volunteer coaches.

The TVYFL is a non-profit football club, whose goal is to provide safe and enjoyable athletic competition. Good sportsmanship, fun developing student athletes and individual growth are our main goals.
